    Client Communications Accountant

    Chipping Sodbury Full-Time Office-Based

    Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice is seeking a Client Communications Accountant to join its expanding team.

    With a reputation for outstanding client service and a loyal client base of over 850 clients , the firm continues to grow and is experiencing significant demand for its services. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, forward-thinking practice where client relationships are at the heart of everything they do.

    The Role

    This is not a traditional practice role - this is a client-facing position that combines accounting knowledge with exceptional communication and relationship management skills - similar to a Practice Manager role, working very closely to the Director and ensuring the whole practice runs efficiently and clients are getting prompt and outstanding service. Acting as a key point of contact for clients, you'll provide guidance on accounting and tax matters, manage enquiries, liaise with HMRC, and ensure a first-class client experience.

    You'll work closely with senior leadership and the wider team, taking ownership of client communications and helping businesses and individuals navigate their financial obligations with confidence.

    About the Role

    Internally known as our Client Communications Accountant, this role is central to the way our practice operates.

    You'll become the primary owner of client communication, ensuring every interaction with the company is professional, proactive and technically accurate.

    You'll manage our support the Director by managing client correspondence, answer technical accounting and taxation queries, liaise with HMRC and work closely with our production team to keep clients informed throughout every stage of their journey with us.

    This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thinking independently and becoming the trusted person clients know by name.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Managing the firm's

    Supporting the Director by managing and responding to client emails.

    Responding to client accounting and taxation queries.

    Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.

    Processing professional clearance requests.

    Writing Social Media and Blog Posts.

    Building strong, long-term relationships with clients.

    Working closely with our Accounts & Tax Managers and Practice Operations Executive.

    Taking ownership of client enquiries from start to finish.

    Ensuring every client interaction reflects the premium standards of the employer

    About You

    We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership. You'll enjoy helping people, communicating with clients and solving problems.

    You're the sort of person who remembers your clients, understands their circumstances and builds trust through knowledge, professionalism and consistency. You won't simply answer questions. You'll investigate, think, explain and provide solutions.

    You may be AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified through significant accountancy practice experience, or simply have worked in an accounts/tax role in practice.
