Axon Moore is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, private equity-backed business based in Harrogate.
Following significant growth through both acquisition and organic expansion, the finance team is continuing to evolve, creating an exciting opportunity for a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join the business. This is an ideal role for someone looking to broaden their experience in a commercially focused environment, gaining exposure across group reporting, business partnering and finance transformation.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the management accounts for a number of entities while supporting wider group reporting, budgeting and continuous improvement projects. This is a broad role offering excellent exposure and genuine career progression.
Key responsibilities:

Producing monthly management accounts for multiple entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

Delivering meaningful variance analysis and performance commentary.

Supporting the production of consolidated group reporting and board reporting packs.

Business partnering with operational teams to provide financial insight and challenge.

Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.

Preparing VAT returns, intercompany reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

Supporting cash flow forecasting, year-end audit and financial compliance.

Reviewing and improving finance processes and internal controls

Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses.
We're looking for someone who is ambitious, proactive and keen to continue developing their finance career.
You will ideally have:

Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

Experience preparing monthly management accounts.

Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Look-ups and working with large data sets.

Experience working within an ERP system.

Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work closely with non-finance stakeholders.

A naturally inquisitive mindset with strong attention to detail and a drive to improve processes.
Salary and benefits:

Salary of 35,000 - 40,000 , depending on experience.
