The opportunity Joining a collaborative and highly respected corporate broking team in Chichester, you will play a key role in managing an established portfolio, delivering proactive service throughout the insurance lifecycle and building long-term relationships with clients and insurers alike. This role is primarily focused on existing business, including renewals, mid-term adjustments, policy administration and insurer negotiations, while also encouraging early involvement in new client opportunities alongside the wider team. Working with a varied portfolio means no two days are the same, providing exposure to a wide range of commercial risks and industries. Responsibilities - Manage an existing portfolio of commercial and mid- corporate clients. - Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments and day-to-day client servicing. - Obtain competitive renewal terms and negotiate with insurers to achieve the best outcomes for clients. - Prepare renewal reports, documentation and policy schedules. - Process policy documentation accurately. - Support Account Executives with ongoing portfolio management and client retention. - Ensure client records remain accurate and compliant with internal procedures. - Assist with insurer queries, credit control matters and policy amendments where required. - Deliver exceptional customer service while helping to maintain excellent client retention. About you We are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler. We also welcome applications from candidates with a broader insurance background who are keen to develop their expertise across a wider range of commercial insurance products and corporate clients. You will have experience managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and day-to-day client servicing, along with excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive in your approach. Experience across a broad range of commercial insurance classes such as Commercial Combined, Property, Casualty, Motor, Professional Indemnity, Cyber and Directors' & Officers' Liability is highly desirable, particularly within the construction, manufacturing or technology sectors (desirable but not essential). Job Description: You will work as an integral part of the procurement team, leading specific activities to provide procurement expertise , knowledge, services and support to meet the operational needs of the business.
