We are recruiting an Accounts Partner on behalf of a highly respected and growing chartered accountancy practice in Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced General Practice Partner , Accounts Partner , or established Accountancy Director looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and ambitious firm.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future growth of the practice, managing a high-quality client portfolio, leading teams, and delivering strategic business advice to a diverse range of clients.

The Role As an Accounts Partner , you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, providing commercial accounting and advisory support while contributing to the continued growth and success of the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, developing, and growing a diverse portfolio of clients

• Acting as a trusted business adviser to owner-managed businesses and complex clients

• Overseeing accounts preparation, audit, and tax-related services

• Delivering high-quality client solutions while maintaining strong technical standards

• Leading client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value

• Driving business development activities and generating new opportunities

• Supporting cross-selling across wider service lines

• Leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams

• Managing WIP, billing, fees, and portfolio profitability

• Supporting strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and drive firm growth About You You will be an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with significant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.

You will have:

• Experience operating at Partner, Director, or senior leadership level

• A strong background in accounts preparation and general practice services

• Experience managing and growing a client portfolio

• Strong commercial and business development skills

• The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and professional advisers

• Experience leading and developing teams

• Excellent technical accounting knowledge
