Senior Data Engineer Azure/Databricks £70,000 + bonus Hybrid Working 1 day on-site per week East Midlands based

I'm working with a business that's continuing to invest in its Azure data platform and is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and develop its modern data estate.

You'll play a key role in designing and building scalable Azure data solutions, developing robust data pipelines, and supporting a growing analytics platform. Working across Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL, you'll help deliver reliable, secure and high-performing data solutions while collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders. This is an opportunity to work with modern Azure technologies in a business that values innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable Azure data pipelines and ETL solutions

• Build and optimise Azure-based data warehouses and data lakes

• Improve platform performance, reliability and scalability

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver data solutions

• Support data governance, security and best practice across the platform

• Contribute to the continuous evolution of the Azure data platform

Key experience:

• Azure Databricks

• Azure Data Factory

• Azure Synapse Analytics

• Azure Data Lake Storage

• Advanced SQL and Python

• CI/CD with Azure DevOps

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
