Sales Support Manager

Sales Support Manager Location: Smethwick Salary: 32,000 to 35,000 (Depending on experience)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Support Manager to join a well-established and growing business based in Smethwick. This is a varied role that combines sales administration, customer account management and export coordination, supporting both UK and international customers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, maintaining excellent customer relationships and supporting the wider sales team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer sales orders from receipt through to delivery

• Process quotations, sales orders and customer invoices

• Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure customer deadlines are met

• Prepare and manage export documentation in line with current legislation

• Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face

• Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and overseas customers

• Provide accurate updates to customers regarding order progress and delivery schedules

• Liaise with internal departments to communicate customer demand and purchasing requirements

• Support the external sales team with day-to-day account management

• Manage key customer accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

• Complete daily cash reporting and petty cash administration

• Assist with additional administrative duties as required

About You

• Previous experience within a sales support, sales administration or account management role

• Experience processing customer orders from enquiry through to completion

• Knowledge of export procedures and documentation would be highly advantageous

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload

• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills

• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial
