Payroll Executive
Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a busy and fast-paced payroll team. This role is responsible for delivering accurate payroll services, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, and supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key Responsibilities

Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.

Maintain employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, tax codes and statutory deductions.

Handle payroll queries and resolve pay-related issues.

Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, pension requirements and payroll legislation.

Process invoicing, payroll adjustments and reconciliations.

Administer pension enrolments and submissions.

Complete year-end payroll activities, CIS returns and statutory reporting.

Conduct payroll compliance checks and support audit requirements.

Produce and reconcile financial reports, statements and customer account balances.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies across payroll and finance systems.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to process improvements.
About You

Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and statutory reporting.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Confident using payroll and finance systems, with strong IT skills.

Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.

Proactive problem-solver with a strong customer-service focus.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
