Senior Business Development Manager Recycling & Circular Economy 45,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus + Benefits Blackburn, Lancashire Help Shape the Future of Sustainable Business We're recruiting on behalf of a growing UK business at the forefront of the circular economy, helping organisations recover, recycle and reuse valuable materials while improving their sustainability performance. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you'll play a key role in driving new business growth, developing strategic customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities across the UK. As part of a successful European Group owned by one of the world's largest retail organisations, you'll enjoy the stability of a global business while working within an ambitious UK operation. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with sister companies across Europe, sharing knowledge and supporting wider commercial initiatives. The Opportunity This is a genuine new business role where you'll have the freedom to develop your own pipeline, win new customers and build long-term commercial partnerships. Working closely with the Country Manager and senior leadership team, you'll help shape future growth by identifying new markets, securing strategic accounts and delivering tailored recycling and resource recovery solutions. Key Responsibilities - Develop new business opportunities across the UK. - Build relationships with key commercial decision-makers. - Manage opportunities from prospecting through to contract award. - Develop strategic accounts and long-term partnerships. - Support major tenders and commercial proposals. - Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events. - Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and deliver growth targets. - Identify new markets and commercial opportunities. About You You'll be an experienced B2B Business Development professional with a proven track record of winning new business and building lasting customer relationships. Experience within recycling, waste management, environmental services, logistics, manufacturing or industrial sectors would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in commercially driven individuals who enjoy consultative selling and developing long-term partnerships.
