Management Accountant

Salary: 50,000 - 55,000 Location: Wolverhampton Job Type: Permanent Full Time

We're looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for month-end reporting, balance sheet control and maintaining accurate financial records, while supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with P&L and balance sheet analysis.

• Produce and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.

• Take ownership of fixed asset accounting, including CapEx, capitalisation, depreciation and disposals.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for capital expenditure.

• Manage payroll accounting and operational cost reporting.

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.

• Support month-end close, statutory accounts and external audit requirements.

• Assist with financial controls, reporting improvements and finance systems development.

• Partner with budget holders to provide financial analysis and support business decision-making.

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

• Previous experience producing management accounts.

• Strong understanding of fixed assets, CapEx accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Experience with journals, accruals and prepayments.

• Good knowledge of UK GAAP.

• Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.

• Proactive, analytical and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
