    Job Description

    Role: Employee Relations Manager

    Sector: Public

    Duration: Contract - 3 months (possible extension)

    Location: Stoke

    Rate: £450-550 UMB per day

    Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our client based in Stoke this role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days a week onsite.

    The Employee Relations Manager will work alongside senior leaders, contributing to all aspects of strategic, transformation and operational ER for the organisation

    The duties of the Employee Relations Manager include:

    • Management and supporting a team of HR Business Partnering

    • Acting as an escalation point for high-risk and complex ER queries and employment tribunals

    • Overseeing the implementation of a new Mutually Agreed Resignation Scheme (MARS) scheme for the organisation

    • Leading on complex employee relations matters, providing strategic and operational advice across the organisation

    • Overseeing employment tribunal cases and ensure robust risk management and legal compliance

    • Providing recommendations on service improvements and best practice across operational HR functions

    • Contributing to the organisation's wider workforce transformation programme.

    The Employee Relations Manager will ideally:

    • Previous local authority experience is highly desirable

    • Significant experience leading employee relations function in a complex organisation

    • Extensive knowledge of complex employee relations casework

    • Strong experience managing employment tribunal claims and associated legal processes.

    • Experience operating across both strategic and operational HR environments

    • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide credible strategic advice

    The Employee Relations Manager will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently.
