The role: Data Governance Lead Data has the power to transform every customer journey and this role is at the heart of making that happen. As our Data Governance Lead, you'll help shape how customer data is managed, protected and used across British Airways. What you'll do: - Lead Data Governance activities across customer data domains. - Define, implement and continuously improve data governance policies, standards and processes. - Partner with Data Governance leads across British Airways to drive a consistent enterprise-wide approach. - Champion data quality, compliance, security and ethical use of customer information. - Support key governance initiatives across areas such as AI, GenAI and data sharing. - Define customer data policies and help ensure alignment with privacy regulations and business objectives. - Establish and maintain data classification, security and compliance standards. - Drive improvements in customer data quality, accuracy and consistency. - Ensure customer data definitions and standards are applied consistently across business processes. - Protect CRM data quality and consent accuracy. - Support data subject rights requests and customer privacy activities in partnership with the Data Protection team. - Provide strategic oversight of customer data, helping teams better understand, manage and govern it.
