• Free car parking Purpose of the role This role offers the opportunity to programme, set and operate advanced CNC turning and milling machinery, producing high-quality precision components to exact engineering standards. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Setting up and operating CNC machines, which includes loading workpieces, selecting tools, and setting machine parameters.

• Following and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding the specifications and tolerances required for each part.

• Creating and modifying CNC programmes, using CAD software or manual programming to create the necessary instructions for the machine.

• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the machining process.

• Ensuring quality and accuracy of finished parts and verifying that they meet the required specifications.

Preferred requirements and skills:

• Previous experience in CNC programming using Alphacam CAD CAM system is essential

• Experience in using Puma SMX2600S CNC LATHE and Puma 3100LSY multitask turning machines is essential

• Ability to program set and operate using a Fanuc31iB5 plus CNC control

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to identify and resolve issues

• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects

• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude Qualifications and education requirements:

• GSCE Mathematics

• Good level of basic English
