Basic hours: 40 hrs per week. Monday to Friday 07.00 to 15:30, (30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day).

Free car parking Purpose of the role This role offers the opportunity to programme, set and operate advanced CNC turning and milling machinery, producing high-quality precision components to exact engineering standards. Roles & Responsibilities:
-
Setting up and operating CNC machines, which includes loading workpieces, selecting tools, and setting machine parameters.

Following and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding the specifications and tolerances required for each part.

Creating and modifying CNC programmes, using CAD software or manual programming to create the necessary instructions for the machine.

Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the machining process.

Ensuring quality and accuracy of finished parts and verifying that they meet the required specifications.
Preferred requirements and skills:
-
Previous experience in CNC programming using Alphacam CAD CAM system is essential

Experience in using Puma SMX2600S CNC LATHE and Puma 3100LSY multitask turning machines is essential
-
Ability to program set and operate using a Fanuc31iB5 plus CNC control
-
Strong understanding of engineering drawings

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to identify and resolve issues
-
Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects

Self-motivated with a can-do attitude Qualifications and education requirements:

GSCE Mathematics
-
Good level of basic English
