    Job Description

    Accounts Receivable Assistant Location: Silverstone, Northamptonshire (Office-based) Salary: up to £33,000 per annum The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a growing finance team supporting a dynamic, fast-paced business. This role offers fantastic exposure across multiple areas of the organisation, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their finance experience within a varied and collaborative environment. Working as part of a supportive finance function, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the day-to-day operation of the accounts function. The Role Key responsibilities will include:

    • Reconciling daily cash and card receipts against internal reporting systems.

    • Maintaining accurate cashbook records and completing regular bank reconciliations.

    • Raising sales invoices and allocating customer receipts.

    • Managing outstanding debt, chasing overdue payments and maintaining strong customer relationships.

    • Processing and recording cash transactions where required.

    • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

    • Supporting colleagues across the wider finance team during busy periods.

    • Assisting with continuous improvements to finance processes and controls.

    • Ensuring documentation is maintained accurately and in line with company procedures.

    About You The successful candidate will demonstrate:

    • Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or transactional finance position.

    • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Good communication skills and confidence building relationships across the business.

    • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and improve existing processes.

    • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, with experience of accounting software advantageous but not essential.
