Software Engineer

This PLC Programmer role is working for an electronics manufacturer in Portsmouth . The role is Monday to Friday , with an early Friday finish . The role is paying up to 40,600 depending on experience .

This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining automated manufacturing systems within a production environment, ensuring robotic equipment, PLC controlled machinery and software driven processes operate efficiently with minimal downtime. The position involves fault finding, troubleshooting and maintaining automation software, vision inspection systems and production equipment, while assisting with the integration and optimisation of robotic manufacturing technologies. Working closely with engineering and production teams, the successful candidate will prioritise and resolve technical issues through an internal support system to maintain production output and performance.

You will need:

Previous experience with PLC Programming

A Strong working knowledge of electronics

Experience within a manufacturing environment

Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs is advantageous

Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication
