Senior Application Support Engineer

We're recruiting for a growing software business delivering enterprise-scale platforms to customers across international markets. With continued investment in technology and engineering, they're looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join their team and take ownership of complex application support issues.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced support professional who enjoys technical investigation, problem-solving and mentoring others.

What you'll be doing

• Acting as a senior escalation point for complex application issues

• Investigating, diagnosing and resolving 2nd/3rd line support incidents

• Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions

• Working closely with Engineering and Service Delivery teams

• Writing and maintaining automation scripts

• Supporting and mentoring junior team members

• Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles What we're looking for

• 3+ years' experience in Application Support, Software Support or a similar role

• Strong SQL skills, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries

• Experience investigating and resolving technical issues in a production environment

• Knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing systems

• Experience with Git, Bitbucket or similar version control tools

• Scripting experience, ideally PowerShell

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills Nice to have

• PL/SQL experience

• Experience supporting enterprise software applications

• Exposure to Agile environments PL/SQL is preferred but not essential. Candidates with strong SQL experience are encouraged to apply.
