Salary: £30,000 FTE - Could flex dependant on experience Reed are currently working with a well-established Accountancy firm in a friendly and supportive team based in Chester. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to manage a diverse portfolio of client payrolls. This role reports directly to the Payroll Manager and involves the timely and accurate processing of various payroll frequencies.
Day-to-day of the role:

Responsible for the processing of high-volume weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls for multiple small to medium-sized clients.

Ensure accurate and timely submissions of RTI and handle auto-enrolment procedures.

Process statutory payments and manage year-end procedures.

Address and resolve client payroll queries effectively.

Collaborate closely with clients to ensure their payroll needs are met.

Maintain high standards of data accuracy and confidentiality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in payroll, within a bureau or Accountancy Practice environment.

Ability to manage multiple payrolls with varying frequencies and complexities.

Strong knowledge of pensions and auto-enrolment.

Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
