The Financial Controller will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and effective management of resources to support the organisation's goals. This role is based in Cambridge and plays a key part in maintaining financial stability within the not-for-profit sector.

Description

Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Supervise and support the finance team with their daily tasks.

Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.

Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.

Maintain and improve financial systems and processes.
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:

Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in financial management.

Proficiency in financial systems and software.

Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Clear and effective communication skills.

Understanding of the not for profit sector (SORP, UK GAAP, FRS 102) Job Offer

Salary from £62,213+ dependent on the level of experience.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
