Key Responsibilities: As the Service Design and Transition Manager, you will play a pivotal role in: Service Design Activities (40% of your time): - Defining roles and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle. - Reviewing gathered requirements and consulting with teams to ensure achievability. - Collaborating with support teams to scope high-level support and understand ongoing resource needs. - Developing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for services. - Creating and maintaining the Service Design Package, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements. - Participating in design reviews to validate service readiness. Service Transition Activities (60% of your time): - Delivering and governing the end-to-end Service Transition process for allocated projects. - Acting as the key point of contact between Project Managers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment of service requirements. - Identifying and mitigating risks related to service delivery, contributing to the Project and Risk register. - Coordinating Internal Service Acceptance Boards (SAB) and managing the Acceptance into Service (AIS) process. What We're Looking For: To excel in this role, you should possess: - Strong understanding of ITIL practices, particularly in Service Design, Transition, and Operations. - Proven experience in delivering service design and transition activities within IT Projects. - Expertise in developing Service Support Models, SLAs, OLAs, and process workflows. - Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills. - Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities, with familiarity in project governance and RAID management. Senior Service Designer - Senior Service Designer (Human-Centred Design) We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Service Designer to support a major Public Sector ITSM transformation programme centred around BMC Helix . Working alongside Senior ITSM Consultants and client stakeholders, you'll lead discovery activities, understand user needs and redesign key IT service management processes using Human-Centred Design principles. You'll conduct user research, facilitate workshops and create service design artefacts including user personas, journey maps, service blueprints and future operating models. You'll also identify opportunities to improve services through AI, GenAI and automation, ensuring any changes genuinely enhance user experience and service adoption. Initially you'll focus on Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Knowledge and Configuration Management before helping establish a repeatable design approach across additional service areas. We're looking for experience in: - Human-Centred Design (HCD) - Service Design within large transformation programmes - User research and stakeholder engagement - Journey mapping (AS-IS / TO-BE) - Service blueprints and operating model design - Workshop facilitation - Design Thinking - AI, GenAI and automation opportunities - Miro and/or Mural Desirable experience includes BMC Helix, BMC Remedy, ITSM, ITIL and Public Sector environments.
