Contract UX Designer 3-Month Contract

Location: London (3 days per week onsite, 2 days remote) Contract: Initial 3 Months IR35: TBC

My client is looking for an experienced UX Designer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract . This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of customer-focused digital products within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in user experience design and, ideally, previous experience working within the retail sector . You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, engaging user experiences that meet both customer and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and translate insights into user-centred design solutions.

• Create user personas, customer journeys, user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes.

• Work closely with Product Managers, UI Designers and Developers throughout the product lifecycle.

• Facilitate usability testing and use findings to refine and improve designs.

• Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Ensure designs align with accessibility standards and UX best practices.

• Contribute to design systems and maintain consistency across digital products.

• Work within Agile delivery teams to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven commercial experience as a UX Designer.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design across web and/or mobile platforms.

• Proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools.

• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working within Agile environments.

Desirable

• Previous experience within the retail or e-commerce sector .

• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).

• Experience working with design systems.

• Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven design.
