Infrastructure Engineer

Exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing and well-established business based near Chippenham, offering up to £70,000 plus excellent benefits

The role

You'll be responsible for:

• maintenance of infrastructure, systems and networks across various sites (both on-premise and private cloud)

• implementing and maintaining physical servers and virtualised platforms, as well as supporting future upgrade/migration projects

• server patching, back-ups, disaster recovery, troubleshooting

• producing technical documentation and process improvement

• general networking and managing relationships with 3rd party vendors About you

Applicants will have:

• experience gained in a similar infrastructure engineer role, with strong skills across both on-premise and cloud environments

• experience of Microsoft Server (e.g. Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy) and experience of virtualised environments (e.g. Hyper-V, VMWare)

• experience of storage solutions (SAN, RAID etc.) and of back-up/disaster recovery best practice

• general networking skills/understanding (e.g. network security, firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs etc.)

• flexibility and ability to travel internationally on occasion On offer

Salary of up to £70,000 plus excellent benefits including generous pension, bonus and hybrid working
