Data Integration Engineers (Datastage & Azure Data Factory)

Contract Data Integration Engineers (Datastage & Azure Data Factory) Remote-first with occasional UK office visits (Apply online only)/day Outside IR35 6-12 Months Contract

We are supporting a major UK organisation undergoing a significant transformation of its data and integration landscape. As part of a large-scale programme of integration projects and future cloud migration initiatives, we are seeking experienced Data Integration Engineers with expertise in either IBM Datastage or Azure Data Factory (ADF) .

We currently have five contract opportunities available:

• 3 x Datastage Engineers

• 2 x Azure Data Factory (ADF) Engineers These contractors will play a key role in delivering business-critical integration projects, supporting operational systems, and helping modernise the organisation's data platform.

Responsibilities

You'll be involved in a variety of high-profile integration projects, including:

• Building and enhancing data integrations between internal and third-party platforms

• Delivering data synchronisation and automation solutions

• Supporting business-critical operational and reporting systems

• Designing ETL processes and data pipelines

• Integrating cloud and on-premise data platforms

• Supporting future migration initiatives into modern cloud-based data environments

• Working across both project delivery and BAU enhancement activities Datastage Engineer Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• IBM Datastage development experience

• Strong ETL design and development expertise

• Advanced SQL skills

• Experience working with Azure environments

• Understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC)

• Experience with data warehousing and large-scale data integrations

• Strong troubleshooting and testing experience Desirable

• Experience integrating with APIs

• Knowledge of cloud migration projects

• Experience supporting enterprise reporting environments

• Linux exposure Azure Data Factory (ADF) Engineer Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Azure Data Factory development experience

• Strong SQL skills

• Azure cloud expertise

• Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT solutions

• Integration experience using APIs

• Logic Apps experience

• Strong testing and troubleshooting capabilities Desirable

• Experience working with modern cloud data platforms

• Data migration experience

• Knowledge of enterprise-scale integration projects

• Exposure to Azure data services The successful contractors will be:

• Strong communicators who can engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Comfortable challenging unclear requirements and gathering additional information

• Able to work closely with architects, developers, project teams and business users
