Overview Our client, a UK consulting companmy and IBM platinum partner organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to lead the design, implementation and support of enterprise asset and facilities management solutions for defence and critical infrastructure clients. The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor, engaging directly with clients, leading technical workstreams, and delivering complex solutions throughout the project lifecycle. The role combines technical leadership, solution design, client consultancy and hands-on delivery.     PURPOSE: Our client, a Document Management consulting organisation has identified a requirement for a Mobile Site Infrastructure Engineer to service an area in the South-east of England . The key focus of the Site Infrastructure Engineer role is to manage and support the Group's Network, IT and Communications Infrastructure across sites in the South East as well as becoming the local face of IT Support to our Operational teams. KEY TASKS: Day to day configuration, troubleshooting and fault resolution on standard LAN / WAN components e.g. switches, routers, wireless access points Ability to design, install and interconnect infrastructure across geographically dispersed sites. Installation and decommissioning of EUC devices such as laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices Act as a point of escalation for incidents, liaising between support teams and site resources Management of third party suppliers for installations, fault resolution and ensuring agreed service levels are maintained Build relationships with site operational teams to ensure onsite IT is fit for purpose, enables efficient operations and conforms with company standards.     Job Title Infrastructure Engineer Location Swinton, Manchester wih potential for hybrid working Reports to (direct) Head of Infrastructure Salary £45-50k p.a., pension, 24 days holidays Our client, a UK based consulting company, has established an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to work with the infrastructure team to implement, maintain, optimise and support multi-site Infrastructure on-prem and, potentially in the cloud. Candidates will: - utilise expertise with Windows Servers, Azure cloud, VMware hypervisors and SAN storage to maintain business continuity. - take part in incident escalations to recover or prevent business disruptions. - Proactively assist in capacity, disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Roles and Responsibilities Work with and be part of the infrastructure team to ensure business objectives are achieved. Implement, manage and support the internal IT Infrastructure at an enterprise level. Proactively support the business and ensure hardware and software systems are patched and up to date. Daily use of the company ticketing system to respond, communicate and document incidents, problems and service requests in a timely and professional manner. Create, update and maintain installation, implementation, maintenance and configuration documentation as needed. Support the wider business by ensuring system performance, uptime, customer SLA's and internal metrics are met. Abide by and comply with company compliance standards, policies, guidelines and or procedures. Support multiple environments; on-prem office, datacentre, virtual environments, networks, physical and or cloud solutions as required. Participate in paid out of hours support as part of the On-call rota. Occasional travel required between offices and datacentres.
