    Operational Technology (OT) Engineer The Opportunity My client is a highly successful and well-established manufacturing organisation with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and continuous improvement. They are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to join their IT function, supporting multiple manufacturing sites across West Yorkshire. Reporting to the Head of IT, the successful candidate will take responsibility for leading, managing and delivering Operational Technology projects across the business. The Person My client is looking for an individual with a strong background in industrial automation, control engineering or Operational Technology who is comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will ideally have: - A Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline. - Proven experience delivering industrial automation and/or Operational Technology projects. - Advanced knowledge of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems . - Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, configuration and calibration. - Experience with industrial communication protocols including: - Profinet - Profibus - Ethernet/IP - Modbus RTU & TCP - OPC UA - A strong understanding of industrial networks, control systems and OT infrastructure. - Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial automation systems. - An understanding of OT cyber security and system resilience. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong organisational and project management abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office packages. - The ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
