    Job Description Job Description: Vanguard, Wealth Management, Family Legacy Specialist The Family Legacy team at Vanguard collaborates with various business units to support Wealth Management clients possessing assets of $5 million or more. The team's primary objectives include facilitating effective communication regarding wealth purpose and intentions within families, providing educational resources to beneficiaries on responsible wealth stewardship, and equipping family members for future roles and responsibilities. Degrees and subject matter expertise - Experience in fields such as family systems theory, family psychology, family education, family business frameworks, behavioral finance, financial therapy, leadership theories, or related areas. - Degrees such as master's in psychology, Family Communication and/or Conflict Management Certification, or Family Enterprise Certification are preferred. Facilitation and client relationship experience - Skilled in consulting, coaching, and/or advising families of wealth, family businesses, and or family offices for at least 5 years. - Experience in client facilitation in one-to-one and group conversations either virtual or in person. - Experience in facilitating financial, business, wealth planning, and succession planning conversations in the family and or planning context. - Skilled in adult training, leadership, process consulting, and coaching. - Experience in facilitating and teaching large groups, as well as applying new content to create individual and family change outcomes. Project management - Proven track record in managing small-scale projects focused on the creation of family legacy marketing materials and the development of family legacy programs. Communication - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Experience communicating regularly with UHNW clients - Superior presentation skills to individuals, families, and larger groups for conference-scale events and workshops - Ability to create educational resources and thought leadership with subject matter expertise Goals - To promote effective family dialogue and strengthen the advisor's role within the family wealth system, fostering greater involvement from spouses and next-generation family members. - To focus on the client's family and wealth transitions with a commitment to the client's longer-term financial well-being and Vanguard's relationship with the family system through time. - To strengthen and cultivate Vanguard's relationships with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) families by adopting a more systematic and dialogue-driven approach to planning. - To join a team that delivers unique family engagement solutions to Vanguard, including one-on-one and group coaching, developing a standardized family meeting process, and presenting at client events. - To develop subject matter expertise, enhancing and expanding our family legacy content offerings, and collaborating as a co-creation partner with business partners across the broader organization. Expected tasks - Experience in jointly leading projects and developing facilitation and learning methods to achieve common outcomes and objectives. - Advanced analytical and facilitation abilities for conveying complex concepts to effectively support change within the family system. - A comprehensive understanding of business priorities and the competitive landscape, as well as the ability to align individual contributions with wealth planning strategies and desired business outcomes. - Proven ability to drive business goals and coordinate effectively across a highly matrixed organization with peers and senior leaders. - Skilled in content development, training, instructional design, and adaptable facilitation. - Travel expected approximately once every other month. - This position operates under a hybrid working model, combining the advantages of both onsite and remote work environments.
