    Fire and Security Engineer Mobile role with a van Door to Door travel paid £45-50k basic for 40 hours per week, overtime available Company Van Are you a Fire and Security Engineer based within commuting distance to Swindon and happy to cover both Service and Maintenance but mix it up with some small works installations and Commissioning? Due to a number of contract wins this small but rapidly growing company that cover works along the M4 are recruiting for - Senior Fire and Security Engineer - £45-50k Fire and Security Engineer - £38-42k They are professional, innovative, and inclusive, working in partnership with an established Bristol based Facilities Management Company. Our focus is on providing high quality fire and security solutions across the South West and South Wales regions mainly within the FM and M&E sectors. With a strong emphasis on investing in our team s development. Every member of our staff is enrolled on a recognised Level 3 FIA course within the first six months of employment. Roles and responsibilities: - Service and Maintenance to Fire and Security Alarm systems within Commercial properties - Small / Minor Works installations and Commissioning (Senior Engineer) - Foster effective communication between the company and our valued customers. - Collaborate as part of a team, covering a specific geographical area. - Execute site installations in accordance with specifications and plans. - Conduct planned preventative maintenance in line with contractual agreements. - Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed after job completion. - Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally. - Assist with technical questions and concerns. - Uphold high standards in team working practices. - Support company policies and best practices, especially regarding the protection of sensitive customer information. - Be responsive to any reasonable requests from management. This company specialise in the Facilities service and maintenance to various commercial properties across the South Devon and Cornwall region, due to a new contract win they are now recruiting a Fire and Security Engineer to join their team. As Fire and Security Engineer you will be responsible for the following tasks To carry out Fire, Security, CCTV Planned Maintenance (PPMs), Reactive works with additional capability to assist with M&E repairs and support with minor Fire, Security and CCTV projects to a high level standard in accordance with the SFG20 or manufacturers recommendations. Key Responsibilities - PPM in adherence to set NSI & BAFE standards. All in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act requirement and to company safety procedures and contract specification. - Respond to Reactive Works to include all Mechanical & Electrical and minor fabric issues. - Adhere to the out of hours call out rota (as required). - Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure. - Provide engineering condition reports and quotations. - Logbook auditing. - Good customer interface skills. - Demonstrate competence in all areas of your primary trade (with valid certification) - Delivery of service excellence - Reasonable understanding and a proactive approach to the following other trade Hold Fire Alarm, CCTV and Security certification for maintenance and testing requirements Qualifications Minimum of trade qualifications in Fire and Security Systems & Electrical competencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites. Key Responsibilities - Service, maintain, fault-find, and repair: - Fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable) - Intruder alarm systems - CCTV systems (IP and analogue) - Access control systems - Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits. - Attend reactive callouts within agreed response times. - Complete small works and minor installations when required. - Commission systems following installations or modifications. - Ensure all work is completed in line with current industry standards and company procedures. - Accurately complete all service reports, job sheets, and certification. - Identify system faults, non-compliances, and provide recommendations for remedial works. - Use mobile devices and job management systems to update work progress and records. Skills & Experience Required - Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire and/or security systems. - Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities. - Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry regulations. - Experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. - Good IT skills and experience using mobile reporting systems. - Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. - Full UK driving licence. Qualifications (Desirable) - FIA Units or equivalent fire alarm qualifications. - Manufacturer or industry training in CCTV, access control, or intruder alarms.
