    Python Developer Location: London or Ipswich - Office based Start Date : ASAP Contract Rate: 420 per day inside IR35 Duration: 12 months initially Role Overview Our client is seeking a Python Developer to develop and maintain automation solutions, backend services, and tooling supporting large-scale telecom network operations. Working closely with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams, you will build REST APIs, automation scripts, and data-driven applications that improve testing, monitoring, and operational efficiency across 5G and enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts for network testing, data processing, and operational workflows. - Build RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI. - Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis. - Develop and maintain Docker-based applications and environments. - Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. - Write Linux shell scripts and manage deployments on Linux servers. - Integrate with telecom network systems and APIs for validation, monitoring, and health checks. - Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling solutions. - Collaborate with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable automation solutions. Skills & Experience Essential: - 4+ years of Python development experience in automation or backend development. - Experience building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI. - Knowledge of HTML/CSS and Jinja2. - Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. - Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting skills. - Experience with Docker and Docker Compose. - Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD experience. - Experience with Git version control. - Knowledge of Python libraries including requests, paramiko, subprocess, schedule, and pandas. - Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, and API integrations.
