We have been retained to engage an experienced, proactive and customer focused Technical Support Engineer. Your main responsibilities will include: - Supporting the development, testing and continuous improvement of new and existing products. - Contributing to research and development and new product development projects. - Producing and maintaining engineering drawings, drawing packs and bills of materials. - Working cross functionally with production, sales and other internal teams to ensure products are designed and manufactured effectively. - Providing technical support to customers - Working directly with customers to understand their needs and recommend solutions. - Applying design for manufacture principles to optimise product quality, performance and manufacturability. - Preparing technical information, reports and supporting documentation. You will ideally hold a minimum of a HND in engineering or a related discipline, with previous experience in a product or manufacturing environment. Experience in sheet metal fabrication, technical support, product development or Solid Edge would be advantageous, although technical aptitude, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. You will be a proactive, organised and personable, confident working with customers and colleagues at all levels. As a result of this they are now looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant. We have been retained to engage a proactive and detail oriented Assistant Accountant with a particular focus on accounts payable. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your finance career within a growing business that operates across technically demanding international markets. Your main responsibilities will include: - Processing supplier invoices, matching them to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies. - Preparing payment runs and reconciling supplier statements. - Managing supplier queries and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records. - Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions. - Supporting bank reconciliations, cash flow reporting and month end processes. - Assisting with VAT returns, audits and wider financial reporting. - Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. - Supporting improvements to financial processes and controls. You will ideally have previous experience in an accounts payable, purchase ledger or transactional finance role. You should be confident processing a high volume of invoices, reconciling accounts and resolving queries. You will be organised, accurate and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.     Handley James have been retained by a specialist Engineering biased Manufacturer in the Burnley/Colne area to recruit a proactive and commercially driven Financial Controller to lead their Finance function. This organisation is a manufacturer of bespoke products in the defence and nuclear sector in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to progress and develop their career further within an organisation that is currently expanding. Your main responsibilities will include: - Provide strategic financial leadership, partnering with the leadership team to drive commercial decision making and long-term growth - Produce and interpret accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, delivering clear insight and recommendations - Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process, aligning financial plans with business strategy and operational priorities - Deliver detailed financial analysis, KPI reporting, and performance tracking to support profitability and efficiency improvements - Ensure strong cash flow management - Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, embedding best practice and continuous improvement Currently a commercially driven Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Business Partner within a manufacturing company. You will be experienced in preparing monthly management accounts and you will be experienced in working in an advisory capacity to senior managers or director. You will have the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently. Experienced in leading a small team of finance professionals at different levels of development you will have proven skills in developing and coaching others. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be highly self-motivated, looking to progress your career and have a high work ethic. Experience of project accounting would be an advantage but is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an established and growing manufacturer.
