    Our client in the Defence industry is looking for an experienced Technical Author who will ensure documentation aligns with international standards, supports operational interoperability and is accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. In this role, you will maintain technical documentation in line with Allied Communications Publications (ACP) and relevant NATO STANAGs, interpret and apply complex NATO communication standards and collaborate closely with engineers, SMEs, defence stakeholders and project teams. You will create user manuals, system documentation, operating procedures and training materials. We are looking for someone who has proven experience as a Technical Author/Writer within Defence/Military communications, the ability to interpret technical specifications and standard documentation and a familiarity with document management tools ( e.g. SharePoint and Confluence). This role will require you to be on site 3 days a week in Farnborough. Due to the nature of this role, all candidates must be sole British nationals and eligible to go through SC Clearance.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working on MOD contracts, or within an MOD environment, with a track record in the bid/tender process negotiating contracts. Experience of commercially establishing and delivering Single Source Competitive Regulation Qualifying Defence Contracts. You must have the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously and be commercially astute and confident operating within MOD contracting structure, including DEFCONs.
