Senior Commercial Property and Casualty Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Senior Commercial Claims Adjuster to manage complex property and casualty claims for diverse corporate clients. In this role, you will investigate coverage, evaluate liability and damages, set and adjust reserves, and negotiate settlements within authority. You will oversee litigation with defense counsel, ensure compliance with regulatory and client service standards, and deliver timely, accurate reporting. Partnering closely with brokers, risk managers, and internal teams, you will mentor junior adjusters, contribute to process improvements, and help clients reduce total cost of risk and improve claim outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex commercial property and casualty claims from first notice through resolution

• Analyze coverage, liability, and damages and determine appropriate claim strategy

• Establish, monitor, and adjust reserves in line with company and client guidelines

• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority to achieve cost-effective outcomes

• Manage litigated files, directing defense counsel and litigation strategy

• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to client service standards and reporting requirements

• Collaborate with brokers, risk managers, and internal stakeholders on claim status and strategies

• Prepare detailed claim reports and recommendations for clients and management

• Identify trends, contribute to risk improvement initiatives, and support process enhancements
