Bookkeeper Lyndey Position: Full Time or Part Time / Permanent Salary: DOE

Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a role where you can take ownership of your work and build strong relationships with clients?

A well-established accountancy practice in Lydney is looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and professional team. This is a varied role offering autonomy, flexibility and the opportunity to work across a range of client accounts.

You ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping requirements and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients

• Complete bank reconciliations and maintain purchase and sales ledgers

• Process invoices, payments and journals

• Prepare and submit VAT returns

• Use accounting software, including Sage 50, to manage client records

• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes

• Liaise with clients regarding bookkeeping queries and information

• Ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met The Ideal Candidate

• Recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice

• Previous experience in a bookkeeping role

• Good working knowledge of Sage 50 or similar accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

• Comfortable managing your own workload and working to deadlines

• Professional and confident when communicating with clients
